The Current Real Estate Market Statistics are out for the Perry Hall Area, and here are the key findings for May 2014 versus May 2013.
- Home Sales grew by 8.7%....25 Homes sold versus 23 last year. Of the Homes that were sold, 10 were Detached, 8 were Condominiums, and 7 were Townhouses. 37 new listings were offered for sale, and that represents a 94% increase over May of 2013.
- The Median Price of Homes grew 6% to $265,000 from $250,000 a year ago. Good news for Sellers who have seen values depreciate over the past 5 years.
- The Average Days on the Market rose to 78 Days. That number could be skewed as one Home that sold was on the Market for over a year. In fact, 15 of the 25 homes sold in May were on the Market for less than 60 days.
- Finally, the Selling Price to Original List Price declined by 1.5%. Again, because a few homes had sat for 11 months to a year, that average is getting skewed as these homes went through price declines as they sat on the Market.
